Wednesday = lunch bunch!

It's Wednesday again!!

There have been lots of delays today, we think there was a problem with the machine as they were running about an hour late.
Josh had his treatment whilst we got to go upstairs and enjoy "lunch bunch". It was one of the busiest Wednesday lunches we have been to, with over 100 people gathered together. They had lots of "alumni patients" who graduated from the scheme over a year ago who were back for check ups. This gave us an opportunity to talk with them and find out their experiences which was great.

After lunch bunch we joined Josh for a meeting with Dr Danny. We discussed that Josh was still becoming unwell from treatment over night, Dr Danny said if this continued they would look at giving him sickness medication before each treatment to see if that helped.
He also looked at Josh's back as this is becoming very sore and red from the treatment.
Dr Danny wasn't as pleased with Josh's progress today as he has a high temperature, both he and Amy (Josh's nurse) think that he may have an infection somewhere in his shunt line. They are going to keep an eye on it, and if it gets any higher he will be admitted to Wolfson children's hospital.

We spent Wednesday evening with a number of other British couples at the American version of a pub! This was a great evening, and gave us a brilliant opportunity to chat with other parents who are in the same situation.
