Proton was running on time today so we didn't have to wait to long. Whilst Josh was in treatment we had a quick chat with Amy (Josh's nurse), which was nice to catch up. Treatment only took about 25 minutes today which was good as we then had to get straight over to Nemours children's clinic for the next appointment!
When we arrived at Nemours we were delighted to be able to sit and watch the dolphins swimming on the St John river, this was certainly the highlight of the trip to the hospital! (The oncology clinic is on the 8th floor so we get amazing views of the river from the waiting room!) At Nemours we saw Josh's oncologist and oncology social worker. They talked us through the details surrounding his tumor and the likely outcomes. We left feeling pretty deflated so met up with our friends from Reading who had also had meetings with doctors. We decided to cheer up by taking a trip to the cinema!
Rain update - it's still raining and getting worse! The main interstate roads (motorways!) were starting to flood on the way home so we had to drive 30mph the whole way! The radio actually stopped broadcasting to put across a urgent service announcement urging everyone to get off the roads as tropical storm Debby is heading for us.
