We all had a very quiet weekend, particularly as the weather has been very British! We've been treated to lots of rain and thunderstorms, although we are disappointed that even when it rains the temperature doesn't drop! Lonnie has been quite frustrated as he feels that all the motorists here don't know how to drive in rain like we do!
We enjoyed attending River City Church again http://rccjax.com/ and loved joining friends for lunch afterwards!
Josh had his fifth treatment today which went well. There was a slight delay waiting for the gantry so we were able to enjoy extra time for coffee as well as extra time to talk to other families. We met a lovely family from Reading who were able to share our frustration about the lack of English food available! The current list of foods we are missing from England stand at: Yorkshire puddings, Roast dinners, Sausage Rolls, Cadbury chocolate, Tea, Smarties and fish & chips! You may be able to guess which of the three of us misses which items!
Josh has been getting very good at his "freezing like a statue" for his treatment, which has not only halved his treatment time as they don't have to keep stopping to tell him to lie still, but has also meant he has been rewarded with another toy by his new best friend Kim!
Tomorrow is going to be a much busier day as Josh has his daily treatment at the proton centre as well as his oncologist appointment at Nemours Children's Hospital!
We are hoping that the weather will start to clear up a bit over the next few days so that we can all enjoy the beach again!
