English bbq!

Today (Saturday) has been a much sunnier day! Which was great because we had been invited to a bbq! It was hosted by Mitch and his wife, Mitch works at the proton centre as the paediatric driver and is originally from Derby. He has been a great support to us and many of the English families, so today he invited all of the English families over for a bbq!

We had a great time with the other 5 families, we shared diagnosis and treatment stories, discussed the hospitals we have all come from in England, talked about our experiences of proton but most importantly had fun and made brilliant friends!

Mitch gave us the chance to relax and make friends with others who are going through the same experience as us.

We're now looking forward to proton on Monday as we get to see some of our new friends again!
