Friday

Friday started very early for us, as I think every truck in the area had decided to visit our street so we were awoken to lots of noise! We used the early start productively and got some cleaning and other jobs done.

We arrived at proton around lunch time again and spent some time chatting with Mitch (the paediatric van driver) about the 4th July and our weekend plans. We also got to chat with other patients and find out how their treatment was going.

Heather was back from her holiday today (Josh's social worker) so we met with her and discussed Josh's progress, concerns and most importantly when we get to fly home!! Heather has said she will contact the NHS and see if we can fly home towards the end of July, we're just hoping it won't be too cold when we get home as we have grown very used to the heat here!

Josh was in treatment for around 50 minutes today (which felt a lot longer for us sat waiting!). When he was finally finished their was no staff available to take him to the toy cupboard so he is looking forward to a trip up there next week!

We then had a drive down to Orlando as Rachel's parents and brother had arrived for a week's holiday over here visiting us. We spent the night with them down in Orlando.
